RADIO4 INTERVIEW
An interview with Jennifer Lawrence, a famous actress who started her career when she was a teenager.
TOM: Today we are lucky to have with us Jennifer Lawrence, let's go to interview her! Hello Jennifer.
JENNIFER: Hi Tom!
TOM: How did your career start? Why?
JENNIFER: Well, when I was 14 y.o I already knew that I wanted to be an actress so I told my parents and they signed me up for acting classes and I started my career as a cinema extra and as guest star in some TV programs. But it wasn’t until 2008 that I acted in my first movie.
TOM: Did you imagine you would be this famous and reach this far?
JENNIFER: I could never imagine that because I used to have a normal life like any other person, and yes, I started acting when I was little but I’d never thought
I would have the opportunity to get to where I am today.
TOM: How was dealing with the fame at the beginning? And now? Is there any difference?
JENNIFER: Yes, it’s really different, not the situation but the way you deal with it. When I started to be famous, I realized that I couldn’t do things outside, on the street, without people looking at me. And I couldn’t do as many things that I would have liked to do, like go for a walk, have a coffee or going shopping with my friends
TOM: Have you got free time?
JENNIFER: Sure, I think that everybody has free time and if they don’t have it, they have to search for a moment for them.
TOM: What do you like to do in your free time?
JENNIFER: When I have free time, I usually read a book. Or another new thing that I discovered this year, and I'm learning to do, is play the guitar.
TOM: Would you just quit and be a normal person?
JENNIFER: A normal person? Okay I think I’m very normal, but if you mean not famous, yes, sometimes I would like to be invisible and do whatever I want.
TOM: How was winning an Oscar?
JENNIFER: Oh! I’m very grateful. It was very exciting and I still find it hard to believe it.
TOM: So, thank you Jennifer for being here with us.
JENNIFER: It's been a pleasure!
TOM: Now we have here my workmate Sally, who is going to interview a teenager called Jake Foster. All yours Sally!
SALLY: Thank you Tom. Hello everybody! As Tom has said, today we are going to interview Jack, a teenager who is finishing his studies. So, hello Jack.
JACK: Hello!
SALLY: Let's go with the questions!
