I thought that it was going to be an authentic borendom, but when the day came and we started to see the movie I laughed as if I was a small girl. The movie was mute, but it was really hooking. In my opinion, this movie is really a master piece and it does put you in the skin of the characters. (Ainhoa Sánchez, 15)
In my opinion, this film is a great one although it‛s very old. It still makes the audience laugh with a fantastic white humor. The role played by Chaplin is so good but, definitely, the little boy got most of the attention as the best character in the film, because he is a fantastic actor.
My expectations before seeing the film were low, but now, I think that “the Kid” is a brilliant film. (María López, 15)
''The Kid'' is a really good movie. In spite of being in black and white and silent, you perfectly understand everything that was happening. I laughed very much during almost the whole movie, but for the scene when they wanted to separate the boy from Charlie. In my opinion, the protagonists were very good, especially the boy, because he was very small and he was expressing perfectly his feelings.
The only thing that I would change would be the end, since I would like to know what happens later. (Nerea Pena, 15)
“The Kid” is a film which seems to have been made just for you. It is 95 years old and it‛s not out of date at all and, although the plot of the film is quite simple, it is perfect just to have a great time. The 65 minutes that it is long are like 5 minutes in the cinema. CharlesChaplin can make you cry, laugh and maybe get confused in just one scene. He is godlike as regards to the cinema.
On the other hand, “The kid” is a great film to watch with your family and maybe you can feel identified with each scene. A masterpiece. I just can‛t describe it. I really enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. All the face expressions and the kid who is just brilliant. It is incredible to perceive Charles Chaplin‛s strong will to make each scene perfect.
