Description
When a baby is accidentally stolen along with a car, the thieves abandon him and he ends up in the care of the kindly Tramp. He looks after the baby until the age of five and together, the pair work a series of comical scams. According to Chaplin, this silent movie‛s aim was to leave the audience with “a smile, and perhaps a tear” – with little Jackie Coogan giving one of the great child acting performances as the kid. Thought this was Charlie Chaplin‛s first full-length movie, it was already a masterpiece!
A few days ago our class of 4º ESO went to the CGAI (Centro Galego das Artes de Imaxe or Galician Centre of Image Arts) in A Coruña to see the Charles Chaplin‛s film, “The kid”. Now, taking advantage of the fact that we are taking part in the Erasmus+ project Action!, we have decided to make some reviews about the film.
