KNOCK ~ KNOCK ~ KNOCK!“ I​ ​think​ ​it’ s​ ​Anna!”“ Quinn, ​ ​get​ ​the​ ​door. ​ ​I’ m​ ​finishing​ ​my last​ ​paragraph​ ​for​ ​reading.”“ Fine.”“ Hi​ ​Anna. ​ ​Emma​ ​is​ ​just​ ​finishing​ ​her​ ​last paragraph​ ​for​ ​reading.”“ Ok. ​ ​Thanks​ ​Quinn. ​ ​Emma?”“ I’ m​ ​downstairs​ ​in​ ​the​ ​classroom.”“ Ok, ​ ​I’ m​ ​coming​ ​down.”“ Hey​ ​Anna.”“ Hey. ​ ​I​ ​need​ ​to​ ​finish​ ​my​ ​last​ ​paragraph for​ ​reading​ ​too. ​ ​Can​ ​I​ ​borrow​ ​a​ ​pencil?”“ Sure, ​ ​right​ ​over​ ​there.” About​ ​10​ ​minutes​ ​later …..“ Girls! ​ ​Dinner​ ​is​ ​ready! ​ ​But​ ​first​ ​did​ ​you girls​ ​finish​ ​the​ ​reading​ ​assignment​ ​I gave​ ​you?”“ Yes,” ​ ​the​ ​girls​ ​said​ ​in​ ​unison.“ Ok​ ​come​ ​up​ ​for​ ​dinner.”“ Mom, ​ ​dinner​ ​smells​ ​amazing!”“ Yea, ​ ​Mrs. Macey, ​ ​it​ ​smells​ ​amazing!”“ Why​ ​thank​ ​you​ ​girls!” ​ ​All​ ​six​ ​of​ ​them finished​ ​their​ ​plate​ ​and​ ​even​ ​ ​had seconds. ​ ​It​ ​was​ ​6:30​ ​and​ ​it​ ​was​ ​time​ ​for trick​ ​or​ ​treating! ​ ​Anna​ ​couldn’ t​ ​wait​ ​for the​ ​surprise​ ​for​ ​Emma. ​ ​She​ ​had​ ​tickets to​ ​a​ ​corn​ ​maze​ ​at​ ​11!“ Emma,”“ Yes​ ​mom?”“ Be​ ​back​ ​at​ ​10:15.”“ Ok​ ​mom.”

“ Um​ ​Emma.”“ What​ ​Anna?”“ I​ ​got​ ​us​ ​tickets​ ​for​ ​a​ ​corn​ ​maze​ ​at​ ​11.”“ We​ ​have​ ​to​ ​ask​ ​my​ ​mom​ ​if​ ​we​ ​can​ ​go because​ ​we​ ​have​ ​to​ ​be​ ​back​ ​at​ ​10:15.”“ Ok, ​ ​I’ ll​ ​ask.”“ Mrs. Macey? ​ ​I​ ​bought​ ​Emma​ ​and​ ​I tickets​ ​to​ ​a​ ​corn​ ​maze​ ​at​ ​11. ​ ​I​ ​wanted​ ​to see​ ​if​ ​we​ ​could​ ​drop​ ​our​ ​stuff​ ​here​ ​after trick​ ​or​ ​treating​ ​and​ ​then​ ​go?”“ I​ ​don’ t​ ​see​ ​why​ ​not.”“ Ok​ ​great! ​ ​Thanks!”“ Emma, ​ ​your​ ​mom​ ​said​ ​we​ ​can​ ​go.”“ Ok. ​ ​Let’ s​ ​get​ ​changed​ ​to​ ​go​ ​trick​ ​or treating​ ​now. ​ ​It’ s​ ​6:45.”“ Ok.” ​ ​About​ ​10​ ​minutes​ ​later, ​ ​Emma​ ​and Anna​ ​were​ ​dressed​ ​in​ ​their​ ​costumes. Emma​ ​is​ ​a​ ​red​ ​M & M​ ​and​ ​Anna​ ​is​ ​a​ ​blue M & M. ​ ​Emma’ s​ ​mom​ ​was​ ​the​ ​Evil​ ​Queen, Quinn​ ​is​ ​a​ ​dino, ​ ​Macie​ ​is​ ​Snow​ ​White, and​ ​Emma’ s​ ​dad​ ​is​ ​a​ ​dinosaur​ ​slayer.“ Bye​ ​mom. ​ ​We​ ​are​ ​leaving!”“ Bye. ​ ​Be​ ​safe​ ​and​ ​back​ ​here​ ​at​ ​10:15, then​ ​go​ ​to​ ​the​ ​corn​ ​maze.” ​ ​The​ ​first house​ ​they​ ​went​ ​to​ ​they​ ​got​ ​a​ ​king​ ​size candy​ ​bar! ​ ​Emma​ ​got​ ​a​ ​Hershey​ ​bar​ ​and Anna​ ​got​ ​a​ ​Reese ' s. ​ ​Through​ ​the​ ​night they​ ​had​ ​their​ ​bag​ ​almost​ ​full.

At​ ​10, ​ ​Emma​ ​and​ ​Anna​ ​got​ ​back to​ ​the​ ​house​ ​and​ ​it​ ​was​ ​locked. ​ ​Luckily, Emma​ ​had​ ​a​ ​key​ ​in​ ​her​ ​bag. ​ ​They​ ​went in​ ​and​ ​saw​ ​a​ ​shadowy​ ​figure. ​ ​They slowly​ ​and​ ​slowly​ ​crept​ ​towards​ ​it. ​ ​Then they​ ​realized​ ​it​ ​was​ ​just​ ​Emma’ s​ ​pet dog, ​ ​Max. ​ ​Emma​ ​wondered​ ​where​ ​her
