The​ ​ Brooklawn​ ​ Buzz    September/October​ ​ edition​ ​ 2017    mom,​ ​dad,​ ​brother,​ ​and​ ​sister​ ​were.​ ​All  pf​ ​the​ ​sudden​ ​she​ ​heard​ ​someone  calling​ ​her​ ​name.​ ​It​ ​wasn’t​ ​Anna.​ ​She  was​ ​standing​ ​right​ ​next​ ​to​ ​Emma.​ ​Emma  didn’t​ ​want​ ​to​ ​answer.​ ​She​ ​asked​ ​Anna​ ​if  she​ ​heard​ ​anything.​ ​Emma​ ​wondered​ ​if  she​ ​was​ ​hallucinating.​ ​Then​ ​they​ ​heard  a​ ​knock.​ ​“Who’s​ ​in​ ​here,”​ ​said​ ​a​ ​creepy  voice.​ ​Emma​ ​and​ ​Anna​ ​then​ ​ran​ ​to​ ​the  front​ ​and​ ​locked​ ​it.​ ​Then​ ​they​ ​ran​ ​to​ ​the  back​ ​and​ ​locked​ ​it.​ ​Once​ ​they​ ​were  almost​ ​at​ ​the​ ​corn​ ​maze,​ ​they​ ​slowed  their​ ​pace.​ ​Anna​ ​asked​ ​Emma​ ​if​ ​she​ ​still  had​ ​shivers​ ​and​ ​Emma​ ​said​ ​they​ ​were  all​ ​down​ ​her​ ​back.​ ​After​ ​5​ ​minutes,​ ​they  finally​ ​reached​ ​the​ ​corn​ ​maze.​ ​Anna  showed​ ​her​ ​tickets​ ​to​ ​the​ ​man,​ ​and​ ​they  were​ ​let​ ​in.​ ​There​ ​was​ ​a​ ​sign​ ​where​ ​the  corn​ ​maze​ ​started​ ​and​ ​where​ ​it​ ​ended.  Emma​ ​still​ ​felt​ ​like​ ​someone​ ​was  following​ ​her​ ​and​ ​breathing​ ​on​ ​her​ ​neck.  Right​ ​when​ ​the​ ​girls​ ​walked​ ​in​ ​a  scarecrow​ ​popped​ ​out.​ ​“AHH!”​ ​They  jumped​ ​with​ ​fear.​ ​There​ ​were​ ​two​ ​ways  to​ ​get​ ​out.​ ​Emma​ ​wanted​ ​to​ ​take​ ​the  right​ ​and​ ​Anna​ ​wanted​ ​to​ ​take​ ​the​ ​left.  They​ ​compromised​ ​and​ ​went​ ​left​ ​even  though​ ​Emma​ ​felt​ ​that​ ​way​ ​was  creepier.​ ​They​ ​came​ ​to​ ​a​ ​dead​ ​end​ ​that  had​ ​a​ ​“ghost”​ ​and​ ​it​ ​said​ ​turn​ ​left​ ​to​ ​live.  The​ ​girls​ ​turned​ ​left.​ ​When​ ​they​ ​did​ ​the  wind​ ​started​ ​howling.​ ​It​ ​was​ ​a​ ​low​ ​eerie  sound.​ ​The​ ​wind​ ​sounded​ ​like​ ​it​ ​was  saying,​ ​“Emma.​ ​Anna,”​ ​over​ ​and​ ​over.  19 “Anna.​ ​I’m​ ​not​ ​so​ ​sure​ ​about​ ​this​ ​maze.​ ​I  think​ ​we​ ​should​ ​turn​ ​around.”  “But​ ​we​ ​just​ ​started!”  “Please!”  “Fine.”​ ​So​ ​the​ ​girls​ ​turned​ ​around​ ​and  went​ ​back​ ​the​ ​way​ ​they​ ​came.​ ​RIght  when​ ​they​ ​were​ ​going​ ​to​ ​leave​ ​the​ ​huge  metal​ ​gate​ ​suddenly​ ​slammed​ ​shut!  They​ ​ran​ ​in​ ​fear.​ ​Footsteps​ ​were  approaching.​ ​A​ ​few​ ​more​ ​steps​ ​and​ ​they  could​ ​hide.​ ​Emma​ ​led​ ​Anna​ ​inside​ ​of  one​ ​of​ ​the​ ​corn​ ​walls​ ​and​ ​they​ ​ducked  down.​ ​The​ ​girls​ ​laid​ ​flat​ ​against​ ​ground  but​ ​close​ ​enough​ ​so​ ​that​ ​they​ ​could​ ​see  if​ ​someone​ ​was​ ​coming.​ ​ ​Suddenly​ ​a  horrid​ ​foot​ ​stepped​ ​right​ ​on​ ​Emma’s  finger.​ ​She​ ​was​ ​screaming​ ​inside​ ​but  stayed​ ​quiet.​ ​The​ ​figure​ ​left.​ ​They​ ​waited  5​ ​minutes​ ​and​ ​then​ ​submerged​ ​out​ ​of  the​ ​wall.​ ​They​ ​ran​ ​right​ ​out​ ​of​ ​the  mummy!​ ​The​ ​mummy​ ​said,​ ​“Hi!”​ ​Emma  screamed​ ​and​ ​ran​ ​around​ ​desperately  trying​ ​to​ ​find​ ​the​ ​exit.​ ​Anna​ ​was​ ​chasing  Emma​ ​around​ ​till​ ​she​ ​finally​ ​felt​ ​like​ ​she  wasn’t​ ​near​ ​the​ ​mummy.​ ​Emma​ ​looked  up​ ​and​ ​saw​ ​the​ ​sign​ ​and​ ​it​ ​said,​ ​“Thanks  for​ ​coming!​ ​Turn​ ​right​ ​to​ ​exit.”​ ​Emma  yelled​ ​for​ ​Anna​ ​and​ ​didn’t​ ​hear​ ​a  response.​ ​She​ ​called​ ​her​ ​cell​ ​phone​ ​and  Anna​ ​still​ ​didn’t​ ​answer.​ ​Emma​ ​d
