Landscape
• Wide axial routes comprising of shared surfacing are
proposed both north to south and east to west. These
routes link each part of the site with the hub as well as
to the wider campus.
• Routes will include ornamental planting, seating and
trees in order to define their extents, frame building
entrances, and inject visual interest throughout the site.
• To the west, a geometric wetland feature is proposed.
This wetland will attenuate surface water whilst providing
an attractive centre piece to the courtyard space it
forms. This wetland is to be broken up into a series
of smaller catchments by criss-crossing pathways.
Each catchment will vary from damp grassland to reed
planting to open water.
