□ Discuss scholarship opportunities with parents.
□ Apply for scholarships by posted deadlines.
□ Discuss appropriate scholarships and encourage your daughter to apply
□ Seek employment-related scholarship opportunities as applicable
□ Provide class time for students to research and apply for scholarships.
□ Advertise scholarship opportunities that are brought to the attention of the school.
□ Be transparent about the selection process for scholarships that originate with the school’ s recommendation( i. e. Queen’ s Chancellor’ s Scholarship)
C: MEETING APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Completing post-secondary applications accurately and on-time. Students

Post-Secondary Counsellors
□ Be knowledgeable of all post-secondary deadlines.
□ Complete all applications by required deadlines.
□ Complete all post-secondary applications by Winter Break.
□ Ensure payment for all applications have been processed.
□ Adhering to the recommended limits on number of applications.
□ Provide students with a means of payment for all post-secondary application charges( access to a credit card or time together at home to complete this aspect of the application process)*
* The school is unable to process any charges.
□ Provide class time for all students to complete several post-secondary applications.
□ Instruct students on the steps necessary to navigate applications by starting in class.
□ Guide students on understanding terminology commonly used in applications.
Providing a transcript to institutions of choice. Note: Official school transcripts are generated for submission of marks to post-secondary institutions in Grade 12 in accordance with post-secondary application requirements and deadlines.

□ Initiate * transcript requests by submitting the Transcript Request Google form.
□ Ensure transcript requests are submitted prior to any post-secondary deadlines and after successful submission of your application, taking into account transcript processing time by the school.
* Transcript request forms must be completed by the student to give the school permission to release the transcript.
□ Parents / Guardians are not involved in the transcript request process; only students are able to request their transcript be sent to an institution- this responsibility lies solely with the student.
The Administrative Assistant processes student initiated transcript requests according to information provided on the form by the student alone. This is not the responsibility of Post-Secondary Counsellors.
