Spanish 9 Enriched is designed for students who already have a foundation in Spanish and are ready to deepen their skills beyond the regular Spanish 9 course. Students strengthen their communication abilities through meaningful themes, cultural exploration, and guided practice. Placement is determined through teacher recommendation in the spring or early fall. Students will be assessed on their ability to understand basic Spanish, use simple Spanish to communicate, and make introductory cultural connections. Assessments are the same as the Spanish 9 level.

Spanish 10( 9 Accelerated) is designed for students who already have prior experience with Spanish and are ready to work with more complex language than in the regular or enriched pathways. Students develop their communication skills through real-life themes and cultural exploration, such as identity, celebration, digital life, wellness, food systems, and daily routines, as well as virtual exchanges with Mexico. Placement is verified through a spring placement test. Students will be assessed on their ability to understand connected Spanish, communicate with simple detail, and make cultural connections that demonstrate growing awareness at the intermediate-low level.
