Informed Decision-Making Through the Post-Secondary Process
Crofton House School students aspire to continue their education after graduating and the School has four Post-Secondary Counsellors who assist them on this path . The School is able to advise all students as individuals on their personal plan for post-secondary study . There are two areas that require the attention of all students and parents .
Use of Private Post-Secondary Consultants
The school has benefitted from the experiences of hundreds of graduates as well as direct connections with the majority of institutions attended by Crofton House graduates in Canada , the United States and the United Kingdom . In this way , the School is in an enviable position of tracking current trends , ensuring accurate information and navigating the nuances of the post-secondary landscape . Students are encouraged to rely on the resources they have through the School .
Some families choose to employ the use of private post-secondary consultants . The School requests that you share this information with the Post-Secondary Counsellor assigned to your daughter in order to ensure alignment in the information the students are receiving from various sources . The School will continue to work only with the student and family directly .
Purposeful and Powerful Applications : Limits on Number of Applications
The current post-secondary application process often involves responses to supplemental questions . These ‘ supplementals ’ vary in length and complexity ; however , all take time and effort on the part of many individuals . Increasingly they require a demonstration of knowledge and genuine interest in the program to which the student is applying . In other words , responses for one school are not transferable to another . As a result , the time and effort students are putting into these supplementals is significant .
