Seiko Corporation of America Appoints of New Chairman, Akio Naito
Seiko Corporation of America in September appointed Akio Naito to the newly created position of Chairman of Seiko Corporation of America. Naito also serves concurrently as Senior Executive Vice President for Seiko Watch Corporation as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the ultimate parent company, Seiko Holdings Corporation, both headquartered in Tokyo. Naito brings more than fourteen years of dedication to the firm having held leadership roles in Australia and Japan and has worked at multiple Seiko subsidiaries in financial and legal positions. His role as Chairman will be to lead the long term strategical planning of Seiko Corporation of America, while also acting as a lead role in the high-level management liaison between Seiko Corporation of America and Seiko Watch Corporation.
Seiko Celebrates Misty Copeland with Seiko Tressia Misty Copeland Limited Edition Watch
Seiko Corporation of America celebrated its ongoing partnership of brand ambassador and famed ballet dancer Misty Copeland. As she continues to break barriers and create historical moments for the world of ballet including becoming the first African-American woman Principal Dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, she continues to show her true shared passion with Seiko.
To honor Copeland’ s achievements, Seiko introduces a Seiko Tressia Misty Copeland Limited Edition timepiece. The watch is designed with twenty-four diamonds on a polished bezel, a mother-of-pearl dial and two diamond markers in a two-toned design with rose gold highlights. The design decorates the top of the dial. Solar-powered and never requiring a battery change, each piece is numbered and features a signed caseback and ballet-inspired packaging.
The new Seiko Tressia Misty Copeland Limited Edition SUP327 is available now and will retail for $ 575. Misty Copeland will continue to be the face of both the Seiko Coutura and Tressia collection this Fall.
