Some people collect objects. Others collect memories. And some… collect classic cars to create memories. A few days ago, I came across a very special club: a group of enthusiasts who have gathered every year since 1997 to embark on epic journeys behind the wheel of their cherished automobiles.

This year, nearly 40 Aston Martins built between the 1930s and 1970s took part in the adventure. They call this annual gathering the Summit, and it was their second time visiting New York State. Over the course of four days, they explored Kingston, Woodstock, The Reserve, and several other charming small towns throughout the region.

Road trips are probably one of the most fascinating adventures a traveler can experience. And here in the United States, there are countless iconic routes that deserve a place on every traveler’s bucket list.

Naturally, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to learn more about the stories behind these remarkable cars. So I asked the owners a simple question: “What is your favorite memory involving your car?”

The answers struck a chord. Stories of driving through Norway, memories of a beloved husband who is no longer here, exhibitions in Vermont, and countless other adventures that prove these cars are far more than machines—they are vessels for memories.

All those stories are featured in the YouTube video.
