The “Accident”
When Edsel was 12, he was out in his back yard doing target practice
with his .22. Edsel got the smart idea to smear a blackberry on his
forehead. He did just that and shot his .22 in the air. He screamed at the
top of his lungs and staggered into the kitchen where Juanita was. He
had blackberry juice running down his face and was unaware of a
blackberry seed sticking to his forehead. Juanita was ready to take Edsel
to the doctor and then the seed fell off. Juanita knew exactly what Edsel
had done. Edsel never tried the trick again.
