YO TE ESPERABA : A CRIMMIGRATION STORY exposes the intersections between criminalization of immigration and other interlocking forms of white supremacy , and reveals how the lives of countless women - mamas , caretakers , students , and community organizers - are disrupted by a system that deems them unworthy , and draws connections between reproductive justice and the criminalization of communities of color . It is created by Donkeysaddle Projects , a decolonial , abolitionist organization that works towards building a just and liberated world through two intricately connected tracts : Art & Storytelling , and Organizing & Advocacy . Their narrative work serves as tools of political education and mobilization , and invites audiences and community members into deeper engagement on multiple issues , from racial justice , immigrant rights , Palestine liberation , to death penalty abolition , and more .
