TOGO OBR Togo focused on financial and social freedom and also rising in solidarity with the Northern part of Togo which is experiencing terror attacks now .
ZAMBIA OBR Zambia ’ s theme continued to be Rising to end child marriages . This year demanded the full implementation of the laws . The main rising had various schools meeting and youth dancing – and holding government departments to task about what they have to offer so that young children will no longer be violated . Focus was also rising for financial freedom , and the full implementation of the GBV act , the gender and equality act .
MALI Held a youth leadership empowerment event where the focus was the free and open discussion on leadership : on being the next generation of leaders – with live music , songs and dancing . They also held a discussion on female entrepreneurship in Mali , on how to be resilient in the face of successive economic crises in the country .
NIGERIA Rose with the Ministry of Art and Culture in Kwara State , as well as with the women and girls in Lagos , to amplify young people ’ s voices .
AUSTRIA Held a Rising live performance art in solidarity with the women of Iran and all the oppressed women of the world . They danced Break the Chain in several locations in the city of Vienna and across the country . For their main rising , a young woman from Iran composed the piece performed at the event . A rising and OBR dancing was also held inside their Austrian Parliament .
SERBIA Held numerous risings including flash mobs of “ Break the Chain ” in many locations , self-defense workshops , a theatre play tour , and a performance of “ The Vagina Monologues ”.
