British Cycling’s world-leading coach education programme
provides the resource to train people in how to coach and
deliver safe, fun and challenging sessions. In particular, the
development of the ‘Coaching Young Riders’ workshop has
provided an opportunity for coaches to develop skills and
knowledge to maximise the development of the next generation.
This session will provide delegates with an opportunity to learn
about the planning and delivery of the underpinning principles
of developing Multi-skills for coaches, teachers and leaders
in both Northern Ireland and Scotland. These two home
nations have similar aims but different delivery programmes
so delegates will understand the journeys taken to establish a
Multi-skills approach to sport.
