British Judo recognises the importance, impact and benefit of
coach development. Investing in our coaches is strongly linked
to maintaining and raising technical standards through a flexible
approach that gives coaches autonomy over their learning while
at the same time providing CPD support linked to club and
judo player needs.

in the Pool – Encouraging
Independent Learning across
the Aquatics Workforce
Speaker: Lucy Stone (British Swimming)
During the session, delegates will be able to gain an
understanding of how the implementation of a reflective
e-portfolio, together with the creation of blended learning
content and programmes and online learning, has impacted
on coaches, teachers, learners, staff, volunteers and the tutor
workforce over a three-year period.

By the end of the session, you will have:

can support personalised, informal and formal learning

seen a demonstration of a reflective self-assessment
framework

seen a demonstration of interactive coach education

considered what needs to be done within your organisation
to drive projects of this scale over a three-year period.
