Creativity and Personal Development
KBS ’ s Postgraduate students are invited to complete the module ‘ Creativity and Personal Development ’, which aims to provide pre-experience students with relevant and practical experiences in the workplace , along with an opportunity to reflect on them . Through evaluating the factors that influence creativity in an organisational environment ( for example , communication and decision-making ), students explore a range of critical issues , such as with defining different types of problems , generating solutions , and implementing them .
Creativity and Personal Development further provides opportunities for CV enhancement , in providing scenarios in which students can succeed in an appropriate and relevant manner in relation to team , individual , and international experiences .

The British Council ' s Creative Spark Higher Education Enterprise Programme
Keele University ( led by KBS ) is collaborating with Georgian Technical University , Tbilisi , Georgia as part of the British Council ' s Creative Spark Higher Education Enterprise Programme . This is a five-year initiative to support international university and institutional partnerships to develop enterprise skills and the creative economy . The programme has been developed in response to a demand for entrepreneurship training in the programme countries , supporting wealth and job creation . The Partnerships aim to support the following areas : skills development for students and young creative entrepreneurs , supporting new business activation and incubation , and knowledge exchange .

The team from Keele University have worked with over 1000 students , trained 150 academics and administrative staff throughout the project so far on initiatives including train the trainer programmes , submitted 40 new business projects to the international Big Idea video pitching competitions , and facilitated business English courses and study visits to the UK .

The Keele Research and Innovation Support Programme ( KRISP )
The Keele Research and Innovation Support Programme ( KRISP ) was launched in 2016 and has since delivered entry-level research and innovation projects via graduate consultants with academic oversight . Since 2017 the University has developed , through co-production , a number of focused ‘ Deals ’ ( Keele Deal ), developed collaboratively to identify needs and deliver regional impacts . For example , a Keele Deal Recovery for post-Covid-19 recovery was launched in 2020 and a Keele Deal for Inclusion in 2021 , building on the range of contributions to address the impacts of the pandemic .
In 2018 / 19 Keele ’ s programmes around SME innovation and entrepreneurship were brought together in a purpose-built facility in Keele University ’ s Science and Innovation Park , to provide incubation and grow-on space for innovation-led SMEs , a hub for business-university interactions , and a home for KBS . The unique building was completed in August 2019 and is known as the Smart Innovation Hub ( SIH ). The sector-leading Hub , co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund ( ERDF ), the Denise Coates Foundation , Staffordshire County Council , UK Government Growth Deal Funding , and Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership is also home to incubated companies .
