Wakefield Wildcats 20-20 Hull FC
The first score of the came just six minutes before halftime and its was Hull FC who created theses points, Jamie Shauls pass to Sa sent him touching down over the line. The conversion was successful and Hull FC were six points up.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats responded just before half time as Richard Mathers found a gap in the Hull FC and quickly ran through it to score despite losing his footing. Debutant Jordan Abdull converted the try from out wide. The score remained level as both teams went in for halftime.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were once again behind as Sa managed to get his hands free in the tackle and send Horne over the line. Wakefield did get themselves back into the game through a try from Chris Riley as Lee Smith’s kick bounced and allowed Chris Riley to touch down.
Three minutes later from Chris Riley’s try, Wakefield once again found themselves behind as Scott Anderson dropped the ball from the restart and this allowed Hull FC to score through Kirk Yeaman.
Wakefield didn’t stop their though, they got themselves back into the game through a superb solo effort from Lyne, who picked the ball up from hallway and scored in the corner. Moments later Wakefield edges themselves in front as Paul McShane darting run from dummy half sent prop Nick Scruton in to score.
Hull FC pulled a try back from Kirk Yeaman who touched down right in the corner, this meant that it was all down to Westerman to convert the try and make the game a draw. Westerman sent his conversion straight through the posts.
