Make Disciples
I am involved in a ministry that helps people with
addiction problems. Last year we started a Discovery
Bible Study Group with some former clients. At the
same time, we got to know about a pre-believing client
who was keen to join us. Being a regular in our ministry
activities, he had heard testimonies about God and was
interested to learn more about the Bible.
At the beginning, he joined us simply to observe and was
quite reserved during the sessions. Over time, as he grew
closer to the group, I saw how he became comfortable
with reading and responding to the Word. His simple
obedience led him to trust God and apply what he read in
a concrete way, resulting in transformative changes in his
life. I was amazed at how he began to pray and actively
listen to God. His sharing about how God responded to
his prayers has been immensely encouraging to the rest
of the group.
Over the last six months, his transformation has been
evident to people around him, including his family who is
asking questions about what has caused these changes.
Through the process, he is experiencing reconciliation
and influencing those around him to see the change in his
life, for which he gives glory to God.
