By the time the golf course opened, 212 members had joined Collier's Reserve. During our 25th year anniversary celebrations we honored the members who joined 25 years ago and were still members in 2019. These members included: Charles & Marsha Arthur, Dave & Marlene Bell, Bob & Lynn Borel, Frank Chalfont, Joan Church, Nancy Contardi, Donald Cooper, James & Laura Dixon, Kevin & Peggy Dugan, John & Sandra Estridge, George & Linda Fellows, Maryann Gallopo, Eileen Golden, Richard & Jan Hartigan, John & Penny Kramer, Dave & Sue Lipman, Judy Mertz, Ron & Sue Nassar, Richard & Ann O'Leary, John & Lynne Pavlic, Jim & Phyllis Reid, Fred & Sandy Roth, Jeanne Shapira, Sol & Maurine Weisgal and Kathleen Wiesenbaugh.

The first round of golf was played on a balmy, breezy Sunday morning the day after New Year's. The event was a shotgun start for 108 members as part of the "Hoe Down" week. The culmination of the opening week was the first Member Tournament on Thursday and Friday. Joining the players on Friday was golf course architect Arthur Hills. The festivities ended with an evening barbecue, complete with country line dancing and hayrides for children of all ages.

The golf course was named the first ever Audubon Sanctuary Signature Course shortly after its opening. The Signature Sanctuary Program offers a "beyond compliance" approach to project development, construction, grand opening, and lont-term management. In addition to minimum certification standards, each project is given the opportunity to work towards three different levels of certification, Bronze, Silver and Gold. In 1993 there were no levels of certification.

was finished in February of 1994. This boat house offered indoor and outdoor dining, together with a pro shop and a golf staging area.
