THE FUTURE OF ORCHKIDS : More Students , More Opportunities
Dear OrchKids Community ,
I hope this letter finds you well and filled with the same excitement and passion for our mission as I am . As Vice President of OrchKids , it ' s both an honor and a privilege to share with you some exciting updates and plans for the future of our program . Firstly , I am thrilled to announce the formation and work of an Advisory Council . This council is comprised of esteemed educators , musicians , community leaders , and philanthropists , and will provide invaluable guidance and support as we chart the course for OrchKids ' expansion and impact in the years ahead . Their collective wisdom and experience will be instrumental in shaping our strategies and ensuring that we continue to fulfill our mission of providing equitable access to high-quality music education and additionally provide impactful opportunities for Baltimore ' s youth .
One of the key initiatives the council has been focusing on is the development and now implementation of an action plan to guide our expansion efforts . This plan will outline our goals , strategies , and timelines for reaching more students and communities , as well as elevating the artistic quality and depth of services for our programming . I am confident that with the dedication of our staff , the support of our partners , and the input of our Advisory Council , we will be able to realize our vision of reaching even more students throughout Baltimore .
Additionally , it is more important than ever that we have robust data collection and evaluation systems in place to measure our impact and guide our decision-making . That ' s why I am pleased to announce that we have partnered with Cultural Crossing Consulting to conduct a comprehensive program evaluation . This evaluation will help us better articulate the impact and effectiveness of our programming as well as identify areas for improvement .
In closing , I want to thank the many people who have made OrchKids possible — our donors , volunteers , community partners , teaching artists , staff , and of course , our amazing students and families . I ’ m beyond excited for what the future holds for OrchKids and so honored to be on this journey with all of you .
