 RT 190 ENFIELD / SUFFIELD VETERANS BRIDGE & CANAL WALKING TOUR( Saturday) Former Alcorn School – 9:00 a. m.- 12:00 p. m. April 25( Rain date May 2) Fee $ 25 – Jim Malley No Senior Discount This walking tour begins at the former Alcorn School and heads down Franklin Street and examines the 1960s construction of Route 190 and the Enfield- Suffield Veterans Bridge. Then walk over the Connecticut River to the northern locks of the canal to the Bridge Lane / Bridge Street remnants. The tour continues across the river, north on Pearl Street, then turns right on New King Street back to the Alcorn School.( Tour starts at former Alcorn School 1010 Enfield Street)
 THOMPSONVILLE( Thursday) WALKING TOUR Enfield Town Green – 2:30 p. m.- 4:30 p. m. Fee $ 19- Jim Malley May 7( Rain date May 14) Senior Discount This walking tour begins at the water fountain in front of Town Hall, wraps around Freshwater Pond, down Asnuntuck St., to the Connecticut River. Then heads up Main St., past the Bigelow Commons and the Polish Home. The tour continues down Alden Avenue, past St. Adalbert’ s Church, and back to the Town Green.( Tour starts at the Enfield Town Green 820 Enfield St.)
 THOMPSONVILLE WALKING TOUR( Saturday) St. Patrick’ s Old Cemetery & Thompsonville Cemetery May 16( Rain date May 23) 9:00 a. m.- 11:00 a. m. Fee $ 19- Senior Discount- Jim Malley This walking tour begins on Pleasant Street and heads north to the entrance of the St. Patrick’ s Cemetery and the Thompsonville Cemetery. Participants will learn about Dr. Thomas Alcorn, Edgar H. Parkman, John O’ Hear to name a few. The tour continues past carpet company housing down Lafayette St. and Bigelow Ave. Then on Alden Ave. past St Adalbert’ s Church. The tour wraps up, down Lincoln St., past the old North School and Polish Home on Church St.( Tour starts at Town parking lot on the corner of Pleasant St./ Whitworth St.)
