Part Three: Enrolment Obligations and Expectations
Section 9: ​
Financial Obligations
9.1​ Tuition and Fee Communication
The Annual Tuition Fee for the next School Year is reviewed and approved by the CHS Board of Governors annually in December and communicated to current Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) and prospective new families before the end of the calendar year. Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) should expect fees to increase annually over the period of the Child’ s education at the School.
9.2​ Governing Financial Documents
All applicable financial information is governed by specific financial documents published and accessible exclusively through the Parent / Guardian section of the My CHS Community Portal. These documents include, but are not limited to:

Tuition Instalments and Payment Methods
By executing the [ Academic Year ] Enrolment Agreement, Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) acknowledge they have reviewed the current versions of these documents and agree to fulfill all financial obligations set forth therein, which constitutes a fundamental condition of the Child’ s enrolment for that Academic Year.
9.3​ Independent School Grant( ISG) Costs
The School receives the Independent School Grant( ISG) under the BC Independent School Act for each qualifying student.

ISG Eligibility Requirement: Eligibility for the ISG requires at least one of the Student’ s Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) to be a resident in British Columbia and either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into Canada under a specific visa or refugee categories.( See Section 4: Enrolment Residency and ISG Compliance)
Non-Qualifying Fee: Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) must pay the School an additional fee if no Parent / Guardian of their Child qualifies for the ISG. This fee will be billed on the Parent( s)'/ Guardian( s)' September statement.
Attendance Loss Fee: If a Student is not in attendance for the defined number of hours established by the Ministry of Education and Child Care, Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) must pay an additional fee to offset the loss of the ISG, in whole or in part. This fee will be billed on the June statement or a subsequent statement.
9.4​ Responsibility for Payment
All Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) who enroll a Child at Crofton House School are jointly and severally responsible for paying all fees and expenses under the Enrolment Agreement.
Account statements are emailed by the tenth of the month.
