RICHFIELD

COMMUNITY GUIDE 2025

A farmers market, community gathering

Saturday mornings are a busy time at Veterans Memorial Park from May through October as the Richfield Farmers Market draws hundreds for fresh produce and a variety of activities.
Every year, the park pavilion hosts a variety of food vendors. Celebrating its 36th year in 2025, the market is a bustling community gathering space with more than 50 vendors offering beans, potatoes, bok choy, rhubarb, tomatoes, cilantro, honey, raspberries, apples, bread, eggs, meats and many other seasonal harvests alongside a range of global cuisines and artisans.
Shoppers that are short on time can place an order online for pickup. Items available for preorder change with the seasons, typically including seasonal produce boxes, bouquets, cheeses, breads, baked goods, maple syrup and more from vendors.
Also finding a place at the market are various community organizations promoting their work and providing resources to the community. Several weeks throughout the season, Hennepin County Master Gardeners from the University of Minnesota Extension staff an“ Ask a Master Gardener” booth, offering tips and tricks for successful gardening.
Weekly live music and a free yoga class are offered weekly through the end of the season, both beginning at 8:45 a. m. on Saturday mornings.
Running May through October, the outdoor Richfield Farmers Market is open 7 a. m. to noon during the summer and 8 a. m. to noon in September and October. The current season of the Richfield Farmers Market runs through Saturday, Oct. 25.
The indoor winter markets will feature local foods for a holiday feast, holiday treats and handmade gifts on five Saturdays: Nov. 22 and 29 and Dec. 6, 13 and 20, from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. at Richfield Community Center.
The farmers market accepts a variety of payment methods – cash, SNAP / EBT cards, Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers, Market Bucks and Produce Market Bucks from Hunger Solutions Minnesota, as well as credit and debit cards.
