Farmers markets fill the cities with food and art
Golden Valley, Crystal and New Hope each have a thriving farmers market where residents can buy local and artisanal things as well as enjoy live music from time to time.
Golden Valley has the Market in the Valley, which runs every Sunday. During the winter months, it moves indoors. Find out more at marketinthevalley. org.
Crystal has a market every Tuesday during the summer months, and vendors rotate on and off throughout the season. Goods like jewelry, homemade vegan baked goods, jams, microgreens and more make appearances alongside food trucks and resource booths at the Crystal Community Center parking lot each Tuesday evening. 2025 marked the New Hope farmers markets transition from being volunteer-led to being adopted by the city. Vendors of produce, crafts, baked goods and more set up proudly in the New Hope Church parking lot every Thursday from 3-7 p. m. through September, where patrons enjoy local goods and music.
