MILACA AIRPORT

The Milaca Municipal Airport ( Milaca – 18Y ) is a lighted turf airport located at 10726 155th St . It features an arrival and departure building equipped with WiFi , radar and a pilots ’ lounge . The building is unattended , but open 24 hours a day . Milaca ’ s runway has been called one of the best grass runways in Minnesota .
2025 will bring the addition of Clear Zones to the runway approach as well as upgrades to maintenance and fuel equipment .
Each year , the airport hosts a popular and successful fly-in the weekend after the EAA Air Venture Oshkosh Fly-In in Oshkosh , Wisconsin . A Sunday morning breakfast is provided by Milaca ’ s American Legion Post 178 for all who attend , whether they fly-in or drive-in .
In 2018 , the Governor ’ s Award was given to the City of Milaca ’ s Municipal Airport for excellence in airport planning , development , operation and maintenance as well as promoting the spirit of aviation within the community .

The Milaca Arts Center ( MAC ) is run by the Milaca Fine Arts Council ( MFAC ), a non-profit organization that has been producing art events in the Milaca area since 2005 . Its mission is to provide an inviting space where the community can meet .
The first Milaca Arts Center opened in 2008 in what was then the old Lines Law Office on Central Ave . in Milaca . The organization held many art shows , musical events and book readings in that quaint space .
The first MAC closed in 2009 due to the expansion of the grocery store . Without
any space , MFAC continued to produce events in the area like Music in the Park , the spring student art show and house concerts . The current Milaca Arts Center opened

in 2012 .
The MAC is located at 170 Second Ave . SW in Milaca . This building is owned by the city of Milaca and is a shared space with the Milaca
Senior Center ( MSC ). Most of the MAC events take place in the evenings or on weekends .
The Milaca Fines Arts Council has many levels of membership opportunities for those interested in staying active in the local arts community . Membership benefits include advance notice of upcoming events , $ 5 off event tickets , class fees and vendor fees along with an invitation to member appreciation night .
