RHYTHM ON THE RUM PARADE
Join the Milaca Community for one of the largest marching band parades in
Central Minnesota - Milaca ’ s Rhythm on the Rum Parade !
The parade features 20 or more high school bands from across the state of Minnesota competing in their respective classes . Four judges critically assess a band ’ s every movement in hopes that a band takes home first place honors in their class !
Also , marching are our beloved Milaca Bands which include :
• Alumni Band
• 5th & 6th grade Band
• Junior High Marching Band , and
• High School Marching Band !
Every year the parade ’ s overall theme changes for the floats and other parade entrants . It is always fun to see how creative the Milaca community can be !
Join the Milaca Area Chamber of Commerce and thousands of people as they line the streets to enjoy this fantastic one-mile parade through the scenic town of Milaca on the beautiful Rum
River ! Please note it is a three-plus hour parade .
The parade starts at Central Ave . and Ninth St . NW near Reineke Park . It travels down Ninth St . NW and turns left on to Second Ave . NW . It then takes a right on to Third St . SW to the Milaca Schools , where the parade ends .
