Edina offers a variety of parks and recreation programs for all ages, from preschool to adults 55 years and older.
From metal casting classes, to lawn bowling leagues and bike tours, there is a program that meets your needs among the city’ s parks and recreation activities.
The city of Edina partners with Reach for Resources to offer activities designed to meet diverse needs of people with disabilities. In addition to inclusive services and adaptive recreation offerings, scholarships are offered to cover the cost of activities. To learn more or apply, visit edinamn. gov / scholarships.
Edina Give and Go also provides activity grants of up to $ 500 per student, making sure everyone has an opportunity to participate in arts, academic and athletic programs in the community. To learn more, visit edinagiveandgo. org.
Residents can participate in special community-wide events throughout the year. In the summer, the city celebrates National Parks & Recreation Month with free activities, events and giveaways. When the snow hits, residents can look forward to snowshoeing at the Braemar Golf Course, ice skating at Edina’ s Centennial Lakes Park and neighborhood rinks, and shopping at winter markets.
Adults can join an array of sports leagues, including pickleball, softball, bean bag toss and kickball; relax at a yoga or T’ ai Chi class, or learn how to paint with oil pastels.
Adults 55 and up can enjoy Nordic pole walking, learn how to play the ukulele or compete in a jigsaw puzzle competition.
Children can engage with the world around them through nature programs and science camps, bring their imagination to life in a sculpture or stop motion class, or stay active in one of several sports programs: gymnastics, archery, pickleball, golf, flag football, basketball, soccer, tennis, ice skating, disc golf, baseball and softball.
Throughout the city’ s 44 parks there is always something to do, from the indoor jungle gym at Edinborough Park to the picturesque walking trails at Rosland Park.
With nine recreation facilities, 26 playgrounds and 53 athletic fields, Edina’ s parks and recreation facilities provide a space for everyone.
