Special Operations

Safeguarding Georgia Communities Through Strategic, Collaborative Action

Leading the Way: Protecting and Serving Communities Across Georgia

As DCS marks the 10-year milestone, Special Operations continues to represent the agency’ s resolve to protect Georgia’ s communities while supporting the individuals under supervision who are working toward positive change. This division remains one of the most active, responsive, and collaborative arms of DCS, stepping in when threats emerge, partnering across jurisdictions, and ensuring public safety where it matters most.

Responding When and Where it Happens

Throughout FY25, Special Operations reduced harm in Georgia communities through coordinated, intelligence-informed enforcement efforts, responding to gang activity, violent behavior, and emerging threats.

Across statewide and targeted operations, teams conducted 641 searches, executed 650 arrests, recovered 361 firearms, and seized narcotics and gang-related materials. These efforts reinforced accountability for continued criminal activity under supervision and strengthened community safety across Georgia.
