Plymouth offers events year-round
Whether it ’ s the Minnesota Orchestra at the Hilde or a festival on ice , Plymouth offers a wide array of events to bring the community together throughout the year .
The Plymouth Arts Council , the city ’ s volunteer program , the Parks and Recreation Department and the Plymouth Civic League all pitch in to make each event the best it can be .
Primavera
Each spring , the Plymouth Arts Council sponsors Primavera , a juried art show , which includes musical and literary entertainment at the Plymouth Community Center .
Farmers Market
The summer market is held each summer ( mid-June through early October ) at Parkers Lake Playfield . A variety of Minnesota-grown produce , plants and more are available .
Entertainment in the Parks
Things heat up in Plymouth in summer , making it virtually impossible not to find something to do . The summer schedule includes concerts for adults and children , a kids fest and many other events .

Happy Birthday America Parade
An annual summer event at the Hilde Performance Center . Youth are encouraged to bring bikes , trikes , or wagons to decorate with streamers and balloons before joining a festive parade through the park . There is entertainment after the parade .
Music in Plymouth
Music in Plymouth is the city ’ s signature event of the summer , attracting an estimated 15,000 people to the Hilde Performance Center and outdoor amphitheater . Since 1972 , the Plymouth Civic League and the City of Plymouth have presented this July outdoor music event featuring the Minnesota Orchestra and a fireworks display .
Fire & Ice
Each winter , Parkers Lake Park transforms into a winter wonderland – both on land and the frozen lake – for the annual Fire & Ice Festival . The winter celebration has included events like sled dog rides , recycling bin races , miniature golf on ice , snow bowling , youth ice fishing contest , skating , food vendors and fireworks .
