Rubbish in our waterways is an ever-increasing problem . Chris designed a device that would collect rubbish from water , using cameras and sensors to identify rubbish , with claws that are used to pick up the rubbish .

Space junk consists of old rocket components and satellites that are no longer functioning and it creates a hazard for other spacecraft . Ryan and Connor created a model to test the possibility of using a vacuum to clear out space debris .

Wearing a hard hat can be hard on the hair . Lilian tested a range of fabrics to determine the best choice for a prototype cap to be worn under the hard hat , with wool satisfying most of the requirements . The design of the final cap was chosen to optimise comfort .
