As the Social Impact Specialist , Aprile is dedicated to helping develop and execute community outreach strategies that align with MWAA ' s mission , values , and goals . In her short time with the company , she successfully launched the Airports Authority ’ s first employee volunteer program , empowering staff from Reagan National Airport , Dulles International Airport , the Dulles Toll Road , and Corporate Headquarters to work together to serve the community .
As part of the Volunteer Program , volunteers had the opportunity to give back to a local school by helping to make it an inviting place for students to learn at the beginning of the school year . Additionally , employee volunteers and their families served the military community by placing wreaths on the graves of the brave servicemen and women who protected our freedom .
During the holiday season , she also worked cross functionally to successfully organized a holiday food and winter coat drive in which thousands of pounds of food , coats , hats , and gloves were donated to local nonprofit organizations .
Before joining MWAA , she worked at MissionSquare Retirement and DC United where she helped both organizations establish their social impact footprints in the communities they serve .
