Earth Day Celebration
The Airports Authority staff joined the global celebration of Earth Day on Saturday , April 22 . To mark the occasion , a dedicated team of employees representing more than seven departments , including the Office of Diversity , Inclusion and Social Impact , came together to undertake a special Earth Day community service project .
The project involved beautifying and cleaning up the grounds of Innovation Elementary School in Arlington , Virginia . The team worked tirelessly to weed , pick up trash , mulch and spruce up the school ' s exterior landscape . Our efforts resulted in a fresher and more inviting environment for the students , teachers , and visitors .
Volunteering in the community is an integral part of our social impact strategy , and we take great pride in giving back to the communities that they serve .
