Supporting our Women ’ s Network
In FY19 , we launched the TRC Women ’ s Network GROW , which stands for Gaining Rewarding Opportunities for Women . The Network ’ s mission is to provide a forum to promote career development and advancement for women in our workforce . In 2022 , we have achieved an even greater level of engagement in our 17 chapters , growing from 400 to over 650 members . The expansion of the Network has gone hand-in-hand with the expansion of the number of females in leadership positions at TRC . Since 2018 , the number of females holding C-Suite and Executive leadership positions has grown from 13 % to 17 %, and the number of females in managerial positions has grown from 13 % to 31 %.
■ We had over 50 participants in our first companywide event entitled Fearless !: A Conversation with TRC ’ s own Ellen Miller . Miller is a passionate advocate for women and women ’ s careers . She shared on the topic of being open to new ideas , new thinking and being an agent of change .
■ A member of the network ’ s steering committee led a panel of five-chapter leaders to speak about how their roles at TRC have changed throughout the COVID-19 global pandemic . A year of added pressures resulted in some opportunities for growth , some setbacks , and even some losses . It was a motivating and eye-opening discussion and unique to women at TRC .
■ Chapters across the company joined for a panel discussion on “ How to Thrive ” as a Woman Leader featuring five of TRC ’ s senior women leaders , from various work groups and career trajectories , who shared their experiences , challenges and secrets of being becoming successful leaders .
A survey at the start of the fiscal year provided an outline of topic ideas and level of interest , across the network . Each chapter of the Women ’ s Network continued to meet monthly or bi-monthly with a few chapters collaborating together for additional networking and perspective . Chapter activities include attending local industry conferences , sponsoring events , cross-sector education and engaging in discussions about a variety of women ’ s issues .
Since 2018 , the number of females in managerial positions has grown from 13 % to 31 %.
