COMMITTING TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Advancing diversity and inclusion in our organization helps us live up to our values and achieve a positive impact for all of our constituencies . Individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities help create a workplace with varied skills , knowledge , experiences and opinions . This creates a problem-solving environment , which , in turn , provides our clients with innovative , diverse solutions and higher levels of service .
D & I Leadership
Our Diversity and Inclusion ( D & I ) Committee under the name oneTRC , holds weekly meetings and each of the members sponsor one of our four regional chapters . Together the leaders and members of each chapter work to advance D & I at the local level to ensure that all TRC is able to participate in creating a more diverse future for our company , our employees and our communities .
We strive to build and nurture a culture where inclusiveness is a reflex , not an initiative .
Training
BOARD DIVERSITY
Unconscious Bias Training is mandatory for all TRC employees with the goal of raising our collective awareness . Bias is something we all experience and naturally have as a part of who we are and where we came from . In the workplace , our biases can , at times , interfere ( often unintentionally ) with constructive team dynamics and impede our goal of being the best at what we do .

We also actively engage with local organizations , including attending industry events such as National Society of Black Engineers ( NSBE ) and Society of Women Engineers ( SWE ).
