MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The LGCC Membership Committee goals for 2022 are to continue to increase member engagement and incorporate sustainable plans for existing and new members .
In 2021 , we implemented more equitable membership levels and clearly articulated the value for these changes while growing our membership .
This year , we will continue to communicate to the membership our direction and changes to meet LGCC goals .
Membership engagement is critical for the health and wellbeing of the club . Last year we invested in the golf course and maintenance , added pickleball to the tennis facility and made changes in the pool area . This year we will continue to enhance the club facilities and increase food capabilities at the pool . The most significant engagement change we will make in 2002 is to have multiple Major Event Weekends for all members to enjoy . These weekend events will entail a golf tournament , tennis / pickleball events , pool activities and food and music for all members and their family to enjoy so ALL members can participate . The first event is Memorial Day weekend so mark your calendars .
Sustainability of the club is paramount for all members . We continue to battle Covid constraints to our activities but will have events and activities throughout our year which are listed in this newsletter . This year inflation has also created a significant financial burden on the club . To respond to this issue and meet sustainability needs , the membership committee has recommended a dues / capital increase close to 8 % for 2022 . This will be reflected on the March bill . We also increased the food minimum by $ 25.00 per membership level but now allow the purchase of all alcoholic beverages be included in the food minimum . Many members have requested this benefit and we have responded to their request .
The membership committee needs your help in continuing our membership growth momentum in 2021 into 2022 . Our Membership campaign , “ 25 for 25 ” has set a goal of 25 net new members through 2025 . This would add 100 new members by 2025 and truly meet our sustainable goals of the club . We will have a “ Membership Referral Gala ” in January 2023 for all member ( s ) who referred a new member in 2022 . There will be a dinner and prizes for attendees . Everyone will really enjoy this gala as a “ Thank You ” for helping LGCC grow its membership .
