The second annual mid-winter indoor putting challenge was well received with 15 teams of 2 competing for drink prizes . The layout took the participants up and down stairwells , through the view , into the downstairs dining area , and into the men ’ s locker room . The winning team of Bo Heller and Molly Larkin won with a 57 .
The next Golf event on the calendar is scheduled for Saturday , March 19 . This will be the “ Opening Day Scramble ”, OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS . The 4-person teams will be formed by the pro-shop and announced during the continental breakfast informational get together .
COLLEGES : Both W & L men ’ s and women ’ s teams will be back in action in the Spring . Both are hoping to make the NCAA tournament .
COURSE CONDITIONS : We had just a handful of playable days in the month of January . Snow on the ground and persistent cold weather has limited play .
INDOOR HITTING AREA : With the help of staff , members , and volunteers , JW Entsminger and Alex Macheras , an indoor hitting bay and putting green has been set up in the basement . Come check it out . Limited club selection usage due to space restrictions .
