EQUALITY LABS is a transnational South Asian Dalit feminist organization working at the unprecedented intersections of organizing , art , and digital security to end caste Apartheid , gender- based violence , Islamophobia , and religious intolerance . Funds supported Transnational Dalit Feminist Survivor Power Building Project that uses narrative and cultural shift strategies to end gender- based violence and religious extremism in the sub continent and in the US diaspora .
GABRIELA is an alliance of Filipino women with 200,000 members found in its chapters in poor rural and urban communities nationwide , its 10 overseas chapters , and its 200 member organizations . Born in 1984 , it organizes , educates and empowers marginalized women towards liberation from national , sectoral and gender oppression . It launches campaigns from village to national levels on issues affecting women ’ s rights , e . g ., housing , food prices , women ’ s health , including government policies and even president ’ s pronouncements which further entrench misogynist , patriarchal values . It is known as the fighter for women and for its VAW services . It has been in the forefront of addressing women ’ s rights and has been creating programs and services for women and the communities for almost 40 years . Its community chapters have a services committee for VAW , health , disaster relief and response and assistance to victims of human rights violations .
GEORGES MALAIKA FOUNDATION
Georges Malaika Foundation ’ s mission is to empower Congolese girls and their communities through education and health programs . They work with the village of Kalebuka in the Democratic Republic of Congo to provide electricity , clean water , and educational facilities . Malaika ’ s community-driven model utilizes a comprehensive , local approach which starts with education . Led by longtime V-Day partner Noella Coursaris Musunka , Malaika started a school in 2011 which serves 370 girls with free primary and secondary education . Their community center is a hub of learning for over 5,000 youth and adults each year and built life-saving infrastructure for the village .
