NATIONAL ARTICULATION OF ANCESTRAL WARRIORS WOMEN ( ANMIGA )
“ Reforesting minds for the healing of the Earth .” The Indigenous Women or ancestral / originary women have suffered the impacts of global warming through climate change in all regions of Brazil , impacts reflected in the Indigenous Peoples ’ traditional millenary modes of production , provoking changes in the periods of planting , growing and harvesting , resulting in the modification of the final product , with a loss of food quality , in addition to the loss of quality in the production of traditional ornaments and production for trade . Furthermore , there is a long history of violation of human , territorial , fundamental , social and economic rights . In this diversity of realities of indigenous women , there are many with significant actions in contributing to the defense of the rights of Indigenous Peoples ( IP ), seeking to guarantee their full and effective participation in decision-making spaces . These defenders , marked by various forms of violence and violations of the rights of their Peoples , have sought to increase their representativeness in political spaces , through indigenous organizations , participative councils of civil society and also in the municipal , state and federal legislative chambers . Due to the constant and growing actions of violence and violations of rights , it is urgent to recognize and strengthen the contribution of these women in the defense of the human rights of IPs , qualifying and expanding their actions in the spaces of decision-making participation . The conquest of autonomy involves the occupation of indigenous women in institutional decision making spaces , and it is urgent to deepen this discussion . The grant will support debates and actions about the following axes : 1 . Climate change and Reforesting minds ; 2 . Indigenous BioEconomy ; 3 . Training on gender based violence and rights violations against Indigenous Women in the territories and outside the territories ; 4 . Articulation of Support Networks for women victims of gender-based violence ; 5 . Mobilization and strengthening of indigenous youth and women collectives / associations .
CASA DE MIGRANTES ( JUAREZ , MEXICO ) A shelter on the front lines of the border crisis in Juarez , Casa De Migrantes provides lodging support , food , clothing , footwear , and personal hygiene items for men , women , and children seeking asylum . The program provides social work support and medical attention and serves approximately 300 adults and 225 children .
