Weather gives way to more golf

STRATON
My heart sings ! Spring breathes new life into the world around us . And boy , could we all use it right now ! It makes me so happy to see people out enjoying the fresh air and sunshine . Blooms everywhere !
On opening day , April 8 , we had 47 golfers ! The courses are beautiful , thanks in large part to the many wonderful volunteers who came out to help with the massive cleanup operation . We lost a lot of trees , but the courses have maintained their aesthetic loveliness .
One of our members , Kathy Smith , scored a hole-in-one on Green No . 6 on March 10 of this year . Congratulations Kathy ! Way to go !
We welcomed our newest members at a “ socially distanced ” orientation meeting

April 6 . On behalf of the board and fellow members , welcome to the CWGA . We look forward to playing with you this season .
The April weather was perfect for golf . We know that there will be some rain in the coming months , but hopefully enough sun breaks to get outside and golf . As more people are receiving vaccinations , we anticipate a return to normal soon . In the meantime , stay safe , but have fun and keep positive . It ’ s important to your health . Let your heart sing ! And happy Mother ’ s Day !
