Nature reflects our nature

BEGINNER S GUIDE TO INDOOR

PLANTS

There are a few things that can take your home to the next level and prove you are a real adult : a bookshelf , a bar cart , and perhaps most of all , an indoor plant . But let ’ s be real — most people aren ’ t planting experts and have no idea where to start . Indoor plants are popular because they are relatively easy to take care of , provide health benefits , and can be used in a variety of indoor décor themes . They are a great option for those who have little yard space for an outdoor garden or for those who live in climates with severely cold winters . The indoor plant personally makes me feel like I have brought a piece of nature from outside into my workspace . When I see a plant that I have given so much of tender love , and care thrives , it fills me with immense joy . For anybody willing to invest their time and efforts on indoor plants , various things are to be considered right off the bat .
Experts recommend choosing a plant-based on the conditions your space provides . So if you ’ re looking for a plant to put on a windowsill that receives bright direct sun all day long , choose one that thrives in those dry and sunny conditions . Don ’ t just place your indoor plants without a thought . Just because that plant will fit in with the décor of a certain area of the house does not mean it is best for your houseplant . Think about questions such as ; which rooms get the most sunlight in my house ? Which direction do my windows face ? Where are my heaters ? What is the average temperature roughly at my house ? With that , you will start to get an idea of which areas will work best when situating your houseplants . Remember that your plants do not need direct sunlight at all possible hours of the day as this can scorch the leaves and the roots of the plant .
In case you have already developed the enthusiasm for house plants but you think you just keep killing them , here is some common reason your plants are dying :
• Overwatering or under watering
• Light levels ( either not enough light or too much light )
• Negligence
Fear , not beginners
