o Continue to provide technology training opportunities Districtwide (WebEx Teams
video conferencing, training academy for Google and Microsoft certification, and
lmmersive Reader training for bilingual/bicultural instructional aides)
o Continue support in the area of K-12 writing
o Provide pilot science textbooks K-12
o Provide training in diversity matters, educational equity, and student access to
educational opportunities
o Explore alternative methods for delivering professional development

● Provide Creativity and Innovation across the organization:
o Continue to support innovative Educational Technology implementation, training, and
material resource allocation across all school sites
o Research best practices and develop a long-range plan around special education
placement and support
o Provide support to the adult transition students from Mount San Antonio College (Mt.
SAC) to Hockwalt Adult Resource & Transition Training Center (HARTT)
o Continue to support and enhance Career Technical Education (CTE) to include
industrial agreements, university articulation, and a parent advisory committee
o Implement a Districtwide online enrollment application system for new students and a
data confirmation process for returning students
o Create and implement a marketing plan to promote the great programs of Walnut
Valley and to attract new students
● Continue high Achievement and Excellence at all school sites:
o Pursue local, state, and federal recognition for the District and schools
Introduction:
Walnut Valley Unified School District (WVUSD) continues to rigorously support Student
Achievement, one of the District’s five focus areas, as well as a significant component of the
LCAP. WVUSD teachers and instructional support staff continue to prepare all students
(“ALLmeansALL”) with a rigorous and engaging TK-12 instructional program, which prepares
students to be College and Career Ready and become contributing global citizens.
