o Explore adjustments to the Grade Span Adjustment (GSA) for future enrollment of
students
● Professional development for all child care and preschool staff in strategies that support
the learning of children with special needs
● Implementation of online AP payment options
● Use of the online resources all teachers have become familiar with due to the school
closures
● Continue to offer a wide range of courses that allow students to achieve excellence in a
variety of ways by supporting the “whole child”
o Continue to think outside the box regarding students' schedules so they may be able
to participate in multiple activities and pathways (e.g., athletics, performing arts,
Brahma Tech, etc.).
o Continue emphasis on individual achievement in addition to group success in specialty
programs such as performing arts and athletics
o Implement shared virtual singleton courses at the high schools
o Incorporate online assignments for students throughout the regular school year, which
will help make an easier transition when there is a crisis such as the coronavirus
pandemic
o Redefine/modify lesson plans with a technology focus
o Move forward to develop and implement online Distance Learning courses at the high
school level
o Eliminate digital divide among students and teachers
● Prepare for reopening schools after closures
o Implement recommendations from the Public Health Department for safety protocol
o Create a task force to ensure the planning, implementation, and monitoring of safety
protocol
● Expand efforts to support dual-enrollment at both high schools
● Further servicing unduplicated students
● Vertical alignment of content standards by adopting District frameworks as a baseline to
essential curriculum K-12
