Friend of OMA Award (Clifton Shambry) is given to a staff or faculty member that has been influential in supporting the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Friend of OMA continuously advocates for students, supports advocacy, allyship, and goes above and beyond in their support for the JHU community. Director’s Awards (Chisom Okereke, Kendall Free, Daisy Duan, Stephen Huie) Emerging Leader Award (Moufi Adedoyin) MLC Awards The Multicultural Leadership Council (MLC) recognized the achievements of MLC members at the closing of Fall and Spring semesters. The following awards were given to student leaders for their leadership, collaboration, and support of each other. MLC Leader of the Year (Zoya Sattar) Top Leader of Fall Semester (Evelyn Yeh) Bridge Builder Award (Maya Foster, Mishel Malik, Chisom Okereke, Sami Ayele, Aran Chang) Outstanding Collaboration Award (Inter-Asian Council & Black Student Union) Certificate of Exceptional Leadership (Daisy Duan) MAPP Awards The Mentoring Assistance Peer Program (MAPP) recognized the accomplishments and engagement of its body. The following awards were given to students. Outstanding Mentor (Shravika Lam) Outstanding Mentee (Julissa Garcia) Most Creative Program (Anysia Lee) OMA Recognition/Awards Community Service: As an office, OMA was also recognized for its community service work during the holidays by the State of Maryland and the Catholic Charities. Office of Sustainability: OMA was recognized as “Office Partner of the Year Award” for our continued work on educating around food deserts and insecurities through a documentary about Baltimore City’s lack of access of healthy food choices. The event featured the director and followed with a Q & A session.
