FCCLA Open House Night

By Anna Peterson

The Burke FCCLA Chapter held an open house on March 20 one last time before they competed at state on March 31. The open house was held at the Burke High School Gym. Anyone who will be competing at state presented their project twice for the public to see. The FCCLA chapter also provided snacks of every food group for people to snack on.

"Each year we have an open house for the kids who are going to the State Conference. Then they presented their projects twice that night, and everyone did really well. We are ready to compete at state and send as many students as we can to Nationals. The open house was a great time to perfect our projects and be ready to compete at State. Mrs. Opbroek is really proud of everyone that presented a project, and she knows we will do amazing at State!", said FCCLA Chapter President, Erika Van Nieuwehuyse.
