Beili Liu is a multidisciplinary
artist whose work has
been exhibited extensively
internationally. Beili’s work
has received critical reviews in
Art in America, Sacchi Review,
Helsinki Sanomat News, Stavanger
News, China Daily, Journal of
Contemporary Chinese Art,
Ceramic Art and Perception
(Technical), San Francisco
Chronicle, Art Slant Los Angeles,
Buffalo News and Detroit Metro
Times, among many others. Beili
has received numerous awards
and prizes. Beili’s solo exhibition
In Between was named one of the
“Top Ten Exhibitions in Shanghai”
in 2009 by Sacchi Review. Beili
received the San Francisco
Major’s Award for contribution to
cultural exchange in 2008, and
received a Distinction Award at
the Kaunas Biennial, Lithuania
in 2011.

Lighting Designer (Original) FABIANA PICCIOLI
Lighting Designer (International)
Xiao Lihe currently is the visiting
professor in Shanghai Theatre
Academy. Xiao graduated from
Yale University School of Drama
under the professor Jennifer
Tipton and Ming Cho Lee. Xiao is
the first female theatre lighting
designer in China as well as the
first Mainland Chinese student
formally accepted by Yale
School of Drama since 1949.
Xiao also was the grantee of
Asian Culture Council. Xiao’s
designs show both the richness
of Eastern aesthetics and the
rigour of the West, and have been
acknowledged with multiple
professional awards. Fabiana Piccioli studied
philosophy in Rome and
graduated in 1999 while training
in ballet and contemporary
dance. Between 2000 and 2001,
Fabiana performed with several
dance companies in Belgium,
and from 2002 worked in Rome
for the Romaeuropa Festival as
Production Manager. In 2005
Fabiana moved to London joining
the Akram Khan Company as
Technical Director and Lighting
Designer, touring with the
company worldwide.
Since 2013 Fabiana has
collaborated with many
international artists and
choreographers as a Lighting
Designer. Fabiana is now
freelance and based in Rome,
working on a range of different
scale projects including dance,
theatre, concerts and opera.
Fabiana is the winner of the 2013
Knight of Illumination Award
(Best Lighting for Dance).
