Sharing the Road Safely with
Two-Wheeled Vehicles

As we roll into May and better weather arrives there will be more motorcyclists and bicyclists sharing the
roads with us. Both motorcyclists and bicyclists have the same rights and privileges as motor vehicle
drivers on the roadway. No matter your means of transportation ~ by vehicle, motorcycle or bicycle ~ we all
have a responsibility to follow the rules of road.
Follow these ‘two-wheeled safety reminders’ to help prevent or reduce injury when riding a bicycle or
motorcycle. These tips are not just for the month of May, but are encouraged during everyday travels.
