Safety Spotlight Safety Services from Police & Fire ( cont ). February 2017
Events
�� Crud Cruiser - offered twice per year , Crud Cruiser offers residents the opportunity to drop off household hazardous waste products and electronics to be disposed of properly . On-site shredding services is also offered to help reduce identity theft . Events offered in Spring & Fall .
�� Citizens Academy - designed to provide members of the community a working knowledge of the Police & Fire Departments with information and many hands-on activities . Academy begins in early September .
�� National Night Out / Fire Prevention Week - community wide event to promote crime and fire prevention safety tips and reminders . Event offered in early October .
Crud Cruiser
�� Story Time at the Station - in partnership with the Southlake Library , story time at the station offers the same fun and entertainment , but at the Fire Station ! Families are invited to stay to tour the station and see Fire and Police vehicles . Station story time events are in addition to normally scheduled story times at the Library , and are offered in the summer and early December .
