High School Students Perform "Nifty-Fifties Malt Shop Murder"
By Samantha Bull
Burke's high school students performed a play on March 24 at Burke's high school gym. The name of the play was: "Nifty-Fifties Malt Shop Murder."
The play took place in the 1950s and it was about June Seevers, a mom of two kids, and her committee working hard at trying to win the "Small Town USA" title and cash prize for their small town of Sunnydale. A strange man walks into the towns malt shop during the committees final meeting and mysteriously falls over dead. It seems he was poisoned and his sister is one of the committee members. But who? With the help of her family, the librarian, and a goofy deputy sheriff, June manages to find out what happened before it's too late.
