After going 4-for-8 with three runs scored and three stolen bases in a doubleheader at Oklahoma
State on March 3, the speedy Stokes showcased her power over the next two weeks. She hit her
first career home run – an inside-the-park shot – at Wichita State on March 9 to break a 1-1 tie in
the seventh inning. One week later, Stokes blasted a walk-off, three-run homer in the bottom of the
ninth inning to power the Huskers past New Mexico State. Both of her two home runs in 2013 were
game-winning homers in the seventh inning or later.
Stokes produced nine multi-hit games and two multi-RBI efforts in 2013. She also drew at least
one walk in 22 games, while scoring at least one run in 27 contests. Stokes drew multiple walks on
three occasions and scored multiple runs in nine games.
Defensively, Stokes committed four errors in the outfield, although she owned a 1.000 fielding
percentage in left field and made several diving plays down the stretch.

SOPHOMORE SEASON [2014]
Kiki Stokes started all 62 games as a sophomore outfielder for the Huskers in 2014. She earned 57
starts in center field and five starts in left. Stokes also spent the first 23 games of the season batting
leadoff, before spending the majority of the season hitting sixth or seventh in the Nebraska order.
One of the fastest players in school history, Stokes hit away more in her sophomore season while still
incorporating small-ball elements into her offensive attack.
Stokes batted .297 in 2014, and she led the team with 16 stolen bases, which tied for the fifthhighest sophomore total in school history. By swinging away more, Stokes also saw an increase in
her power numbers from her freshman to her sophomore season. In addition to raising her batting
average .033, Stokes set career highs in doubles, triples, homers and extra-base hits. She produced
seven doubles in 2014 after not recording any doubles as a freshman. Stokes added four triples, the
third-highest sophomore total in school history. She also doubled her freshman home run total with
four homers in 2014. The increased power helped Stokes produce 24 RBIs, while her .445 slugging
percentage was a .117 improvement from her freshman season. Stokes also came through in the
clutch, batting .327 (17-for ML
